South Glens Falls Soccer Club

Mission Statement

South Glens Falls Soccer Club (SGFSC) is a New York State, 501C, non-profit organization dedicated to providing competitive soccer to youth players for ages 6 to 19.  Our goal is to provide a youth soccer program that develops higher skills, better team play, good sportsmanship, friendship and FUN.  Although based in South Glens Falls, children from any town are welcome to join us for the next level of soccer...

We are now registering on-line.  You will create an account that you can access with your email and a password.  From this account, you can register your child or children and later can check the status of what team they are on, who their coach is, and more.  To create an account, click in the Login box at the top of the page.

The SGFSC is offering two programs, indoor soccer and spring travel. Information about these programs is offered below.  Please note that teams are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Indoor Soccer

Indoor soccer is offered in two sessions.  Session 1 is offered in the late fall, typically from October to December.  Session 2, the winter session, runs from January to March.  Indoor soccer is offered at several nearby indoor soccer facilities - Chase SportsComplex, the Dome (a.k.a. the Adirondack Sports Complex), and the Halfmoon Sportsplex.  Soccer programs are offered for children aged 6 to 19 in a competitive environment with one weekly game and one practice per week.

Spring Soccer

The spring outdoor travel soccer session generally runs from the end of April until the end of June and is offered for boys and girls from U12 through U19 (some teams may be unavailable due to lack of interest).  Early registration for the spring session is essential, as some of the teams may quickly reach the maximum number of players (22).

The session consists typically of 12 games (10 games for the U19 division) in an 11 v 11 format.   Half of the games will be played at the Moreau Rec fields, and the other half will be at the opposing team's fields.  Generally, the travel time will be within an hour radius.

Coaches and Volunteers

SGFSC encourages parents to help out club by registering to be a coach, assistant coach, team parent, or general volunteer. This opportunity to sign up and help the club is also available on this website following confirmation of your child's personal information (name, date of birth, etc.)

Once you have registered to be a coach, assistant coach, team parent, or general volunteer, an email will be sent to your provided email address describing the next steps to take to complete the process.

SGFSC is always looking for board members. Without new members, the future of the club is more in doubt. If you have an interest in taking on a leadership role to help the club moving forward, we encourage you to take the first step and become a member of the board during the registration process. Our next board meeting date can be found on our website:
